Microsoft AI Empowers 800 Indian Businesses – Punit Chandok

Chandok who also chairs the CII National AI forms said it focus areas are awareness, adoption any invitation, and regulation of AI.

A survey y CII and Protiviti released at the event to found that over half of Indian enterprises plan to rapidly expand AI adoption within their organisation. Nearly 60% said there organisations is prepared for AI adoption,while 38% remain in early readiness stages.

The report flagged that AI governance remains a major challenge with just about 23% of enterprises having implemented AI ethics and governance frameworks.

Notably,over 40% of enterprise sad they were open to external adults and bias assessments as they adopted AI. While predictive AI (81%) conversational chat votes (56% and machine learning 48% are currently the most prevalent ways AI is being used.Among potential technology we assessed however generative AI 74% and agentic AI 58% were the top choice of respondents.

The top for challenges according to the report include ethical concerns bias, and legal compliance risks; a shortage of skilled AI professionals high implementation cost and data privacy and governance issues.

Certain sectors like business process outsourcing are particularly likely to see job losses due to Ai Sachin Tayal managing director, Protiviti Member firm for India, told ET on the sidelines. He added that if not an over reaching law India should explore and “AI code” out lining major risk related to data for AI training and consumer protection.
